The Onebase assistant is a friendly help bot that lives in a panel next to the screen you're on. It has a robot icon (not a sparkle) — because it helps you use Onebase, not do the work for you. This page spells out exactly what it can and can't do, so you know what you're getting.
What it does
- Answers product and how-to questions, and explains what features do.
- Shows you exactly where in the app to go to do something.
- Links the right help article when one exists — for example Getting started.
What it doesn't do — so there are no surprises
- It doesn't read your data. It can't see your contacts, quotes, jobs or employees, and it can't give you counts. If you ask "how many jobs do I have?", it shows you where to see it yourself (the Oppdrag list) — it won't count for you.
- It performs no actions. If you ask it to create a contact, move a quote or log hours, it will not claim it did so. Instead it explains the steps you take in the app. That way you never get a false "done" on something that didn't happen.
It replies in your language (write Norwegian, it answers Norwegian), and you can use it as much as you need — there's just a light anti-spam limit.
Want AI that actually works in your data?
If you need AI that reads your real records, drafts across customers and jobs, and actually makes changes — connect your own Claude to Onebase via MCP. That's a completely different connection from the help bot above: it sees your data and can perform actions (which are logged). See Connect your own AI.
